Our second meetup, online events, and more!
Welcome to the Lemniscate newsletter! We just had our second meetup at the end of May, and it was a lot of fun. Now we’re thinking of trying out some virtual events to help folks from different places connect online.
Updates from Our Second Meetup
Our second meetup was held at the Dennis R. Neil Equality Center on Saturday, May 27. We’re very grateful to the folks from the Equality Center for letting us hold our meetup here, and this location gave us plenty of space and tables to use for activities. We got together lots of games, coloring books, and puzzles for folks to enjoy and gave away some summer-themed gift bags!
Moving forward, we’re thinking of experimenting with some different types of events as well. We’d like to have some shorter, more informal, events that require less planning and can occur more frequently. One of our members will also be moving to North Carolina this month, which will give us the opportunity to bring Lemniscate to a new location. We would still love to host events in the Tulsa area, so if you have an idea for an event or are interested in hosting your own event for Lemniscate, please contact us!
Virtual Events
To stay connected between Tulsa and North Carolina, we would like to try hosting some virtual events over the summer. The first of these events will probably take place over Discord because we already have an established server there where folks can connect via text, voice, or video chat. We’re still looking for people who are interested in sharing any art, writing, or other creative pursuits on our blog. If you have something you would like to share or any ideas, please contact us. We are also interested in interviewing different neurodivergent folks about their work and experiences, so if you would like to be interviewed or know anyone we might be able to reach out to, let us know!

We are very excited to announce that Lemniscate was recently featured on Season 2 Episode 2 of the Jumbled Dreams podcast! Jumbled Dreams Changing Lives is a non profit organization dedicated to providing education, support, and guidance to persons in need.
